In this downtown Toronto condo, we designed and built a set of custom solid walnut night tables integrated directly into the bedroom wall.
Rather than placing standard furniture beside the bed, the goal was to create a more cohesive architectural element — combining vertical walnut slats, integrated lighting, and built-in night tables into a single wall feature.
Custom millwork like this allows the proportions, materials, and details to be tailored specifically to the space.
The walnut night tables were fabricated from solid walnut, bringing warmth and natural texture to the room while complementing the darker wall color and the view of the Toronto skyline.
During installation, careful alignment of the slat panels and night tables ensures the entire composition reads as one continuous piece rather than separate elements.
Even though these pieces may appear simple, they begin with detailed drawings and planning so the final installation fits perfectly within the space.
This project is part of a series of custom millwork elements designed for this condo, where each detail — from storage to lighting — is integrated into the architecture of the room.
